The asso­ci­a­tion Ospi­tal­ità Alta Via dei Monti Lig­uri was born in Jan­u­ary 2011, thanks to the enthu­si­asm and the ini­tia­tive of many accom­mo­da­tion facil­ity oper­a­tors located in the prox­im­ity or on the trail of Alta Via dei Monti Lig­uri. It has now more than 60 asso­ci­ated tourist activ­i­ties and it is the main part­ner of Alta Via Stage Race, after hav­ing con­ceived the event in 2012 and orga­niz­ing the first two editions.

The Cinque Terre is a land with strong voca­tion for sports, and moun­tain bik­ing could not be excluded from the many dis­ci­plines that can be prac­ticed on its rough and fas­ci­nat­ing ter­ri­tory. For the fist time in the his­tory of Alta Via Stage Race, Riv­iera delle Cinque Terre will be con­nected to Golfo del Tigul­lio in three very highly tech­ni­cal and panoramic stages, unique in their kind.

Alta Via Stage Race’s return was tempt­ing for the Ital­ian and for­eign bik­ers who got up in the early morn­ing of Novem­ber 1st (the reg­is­tra­tion open­ing was at 6 am) to get their race num­ber. After only one hour, 42 reg­is­tra­tions of the 100 avail­able were sold; the num­ber increased to 49 dur­ing the day.

Reg­is­tra­tions for the sev­enth edi­tion of Alta Via Stage Race will open on Fri­day 1 Novem­ber 2019. Until 17 Novem­ber with “Early book­ing” chance for the clas­sic Hero, Week­end, Fun for­mu­las and for the new E-​Race for­mula. From this year, com­peti­tors will have the oppor­tu­nity to choose between “Easy” mode — which includes reg­is­tra­tion, race pack, pasta party, brief­ing, assis­tance and refresh­ments along the route — and “Vil­lage” mode, which also includes the orga­ni­za­tion of the overnight stays and the lug­gage trans­port by our staff.
