We encourage all riders to carefully read the Alta Via Stage Race Rules before starting their training and refer back to them during the race. In case of problems, ignorance of the rules will not be considered as a mitigating factor.

This is a brief summary of the main rules which relate to the running of Alta Via Stage Race.

Participation in the race is at your own risk.
It is mandatory to wear an approved helmet throughout the race.
Athletes’ equipment and clothing must be suitable for environmental conditions and sudden climate changes.
It is mandatory to use a cartographic GPS to follow the route.
The Organisers reserve the right to modify the route at any time.
Objections must be made not more than 30 minutes after the end of the stage. They must be made in writing to the Race Directors, accompanied by a fee of 50 euros.
